The use of Damascus steel on the 'RR1' limited edition comprises three different alloys. The colors are brought out by heating to a specific temperature, allowing the different steel alloys to oxidize and display their characteristic colors. The MetalWrite 'RR1' is an unique limited edition crafted from solid sterling silver with Damascus stoppers, solid sterling silver clip and hand operated guilloche engraving. Collectors of the MetalWrite RR1 benefit from the unique option of being able to easily remove the clip from the pen thus converting it from a pocket pen to a desk pen (optional desk stand available). In addition, each pen will come with your choice of nib grade (extra fine to extra broad, italic fine/medium/broad) and rollerball conversion.
